Saharari Kantari Festival

Saharari Kantari is a concert in support of the Sahrawi people, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic. The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness of this forgotten conflict and demonstrate support for the Sahrawi cause through music, marking half a century since Morocco's occupation of Western Sahara.

The concert will bring together more than fifteen artists performing songs dedicated specifically to Western Sahara. The lineup includes Eñaut Elorrieta, Mikel Urdangarin, Oreka TX, Itziar Ituño, Olaia Inziarte, Iker Lauroba, Esti Martinez, Fariba Sheikhan, and Postal Kolekzionistak, as well as dancer Sua Enparantza and bertsolari (Basque improvisational poet) Jon Maia. Two Sahrawi singers will also perform: Suilma Aali, with Aziza Brahim as a guest artist.

During the concert, there will also be a show of support for the Palestinian people, and to that end, we will have a special performance by two Palestinian artists: Ahmed & Nur.

This event is organized by Euskal Fondoa and the Association of Friends of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (RASD) of Álava, with the support of the Bilbao City Council and eLankidetza.

to 29 Nov

The 49th European Conference of Support and Solidarity with the Saharawi People

The 49th European Conference of Support and Solidarity with the Saharawi People (EUCOCO) has been confirmed and will be held in Paris on 28 and 29 November. From everyone here at Sandblast, we encourage you to take part in this incredible event if you are able. This is one of the most important events of the year for the international movement of solidarity with the Saharawi people.

This conference will offer an opportunity to create a strong political event, aimed at denouncing the neo-colonial posture of the Presidency of the French Republic and defending the inalienable right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence. During these two days, alongside experts and lawyers, it will be a question of affirming the imprescriptible foundations in law of the legitimate struggle of the Saharawi people, led by the Polisario Front, and of demonstrating, with the participants and activists, our commitment to the implementation of this right.

Your presence and active participation are essential!
