My Home of Wind and Sand, 2026 (102 minutes)
About the Film:Since birth, Najla has lived in a refugee camp in the Algerian Sahara. The film follows the activist—who peacefully campaigns for Western Sahara’s independence—over the course of a decade. Yet how does one live for a homeland one has never known?
When the conflict escalates once more, Najla’s pacifist stance begins to waver. She is forced to consider which path to choose for herself and for future generations. A powerful portrait of identity and resistance, the film captures the vastness of the Sahara through evocative imagery and sheds light on a conflict long forgotten by the world.
