Saharawi history has been largely undocumented due to the harsh restrictions and media embargo enacted by the occupying Moroccan forces.
To help combat the erasure of their experience, and to amplify their story as it continues, we have created this gallery to serve as an archive of the Saharawi journey.
Many of the photos here were taken by Ed Harriman in 1976, during the early years of displacement, and by John Touriday.
