Annual Reports & Policies
Sandblast is a charity registered in England and Wales since 2006 (1115288). We have developed clear policies that reflect our values and guide our practice, and we regularly publish annual reports, which are submitted to Companies House and the Charity Commission.
These documents encompass our activities in the UK and the Saharawi refugee camps, provide transparency and accountability of all Sandblast’s financial transactions, and acknowledge our partner organisations, donors and funders who support our work.
A board of four trustees currently governs Sandblast: Annette Gibbons-Warren (chair), Beccy Allen (Treasurer), Beatrice Newbery and Carolina Graterol.

Our Funding
Sandblast is eternally indebted to the Trade Unions, especially the Fire Brigade Union, UNISON and UNITE, who gave us the first funds for the 2007 Sandblast Festival. Their sense of international solidarity and faith in our mission was crucial to encouraging others.
Arts Council England has been paramount to our work, funding our activities from the start and supporting every application we've made. Other funders who have been important to our Studio-Live music project in the Saharawi refugee camps are the Roskilde Festival and Staples Fund.
A list of some of our past funders is available below.
A majority of our funds come from individuals, especially those runners who’ve done Run the Sahara since 2010, and the Sahara Marathon since 2013. Without their dedication, we may have never been able to continue our work.
If you are interested in contributing to our work by making a one-off donation or pledging a monthly gift, we promise that the donation you make will be used to help educate Saharawi refugee children living in the camps, and help us in our mission to raise awareness of Saharawi arts and culture more broadly.

Partners
Since our founding in 2005, we have received support from a wide web of individuals, organisations, universities and institutes. Collaborations and partnerships have been essential to the success and impact of our work.
As a small charity, much of what we have done would not have been possible without the generous support from the following partners who have, at some point since 2005, offered us their venue, done promotion for our events and our charity, included us in their programming, or provided support with their personnel and resources.
