The Sahara Marathon is an international solidarity race in the Algerian desert, in Tindouf, where the Saharawi refugee camps are based.
When you register for the Sahara Marathon with Sandblast, you’re doing far more than joining a race—you’re becoming part of a global Sandblast Family to empower Saharawi refugee children and women through education, culture, and solidarity.
Since 2009, more than 200 people have ran or walked the 5km, 10km, half-marathon, or full marathon in support of Sandblast’s projects. Again and again, participants tell us it’s been one of the most life-changing experiences of their lives.
